What’s Trending?

Welcome to Trending, the new blog of the Association for Women in Communications (AWC). As the communications and professional development industry is rapidly changing, the timing could not be better for a facelift of the AWC brand and marketing approach to ensure timeless success for years to come for our members and potential members. As you look at our new logo, take notice of the beliefs that make AWC such a valuable organization to our members and communities: Mentorship, Networking, Diversity, Leadership, Women, Welcoming, and Leading the Charge.

As part of our rebranding, our blog, to be written by AWC members, will examine what’s trending in the field of communication, in women’s rights, and in women’s leadership roles in business and in our communities.

Throughout our history, our organization has been active in the advancement of women. What better time to launch our blog than March 1, 2018, the beginning of Women’s History Month? We’ll start with a series of profiles of some of our members who have made groundbreaking strides in their careers, going where no woman had gone before. We’ll also highlight a group of AWC women who have been making a difference for decades giving voices to our veterans.

Please join us on our journey. If you are not an AWC member, check out our website and see what we are all about. If you are an AWC member and would like to write for Trending, please contact us at [email protected].
