Dolly Parton has done it again.
Dollywood’s parent company, Herschend Enterprises, is picking up the education tab for all its employees, beginning this year. Earlier this month, the company announced it will cover 100% of employees’ tuition, fees and books for employees who wish to further their education.
This isn’t the first time Dolly has been in the news for her “do-gooding”.
Good Publicity is…Good Publicity
When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, she donated $1 million to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, and that money went into the development of Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccine.
Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is dedicated to inspiring a love of reading by gifting books free of charge to children from birth to age five. Inspired by her father’s inability to read and write, Dolly started her Imagination Library in 1995. Today, her program spans five countries and gifts over 1 million free books each month to children around the world.
