Clarion Award Frequently Asked Questions

I’m not sure what category to enter.

Most of the Clarion entries are clear-cut when entrants are selecting the best category, but sometimes we do get a question about finding the right fit for an entry. For starters, there is always a “best” category. Do not assume that there is not a place for your entry in the Clarion Awards. 

 

Feel free to contact the Administrative Office of the Clarion Awards if you are unsure which category to enter. We have a panel of long-time judges who help us answer the questions.Contact us at [email protected]. Contact by email is preferred as we can easily share your question with longtime judges.

What if I don’t select the right category?

AWC can re-assign your entry to the most appropriate category – the category where your entry will shine at its best. However, the judges may not be able to review your entry in time to reassign it.Please contact [email protected] if you are not sure you are entering in the correct category. 

How does the Early Bird discount work?

Pretty easy. Upon deciding to enter, fill out the online registration page, pay the applicable fee, and you can start your entry.You do not need to have everything in hand to start your entry.You may come back to your entry as often as you like – and as long as you pay by the Early Bird deadline (March 7, 2023), you will get that rate even if you don’t submit your final entry until the April 10, 2023 deadline.

How do I get technical support for my entry?

We understand.  The Clarion Administrative Office can help you with questions about selecting your entry; the timing requirements; payment, etc. The quickest way to get the most thorough answer is to email [email protected].

Beyond that, if there is anything on the techie side that is confusing, or not working, you may contact our software provider 24/7 every day of the work week. The email address for support is [email protected]

Does AWC provide any special tips for preparing a winning entry?

Yes! One of our longtime judges along with a longtime program administrator have written a document that will help you with the Clarions, including tips on preparing a thorough entry.Find the PDF here.

What payment methods are accepted for Clarion entries?

For your convenience, Clarion entry fees are paid online by credit card. You will be taken to PayPal to enter your credit card information or login to your PayPal account to pay for your entry/ies, though you do not need a PayPal account to enter — just your credit card information. Why won't my login username/password from years previous work?

The Clarions began using a new award program software provider in 2020. If you registered in 2022, you can use the same login information. Otherwise, register and login here
