Know To Grow:

Every Woman for Herself is a Losing Strategy
Presented by Anne Doyle

Thursday, August 27, 2020
12 pm CDT
(10 am Pacific, 11 am Mountain, 1 pm Eastern)

Three generations of ambitious, high achieving women have made tremendous individual progress over the last five decades. Yet girls and women everywhere are still fighting to overcome deeply ingrained gender bias that continues to undermine female confidence and potential. It's time for Baby Boomers, Gen X's, Millennials and Gen Z's to understand we're all in this together and start leveraging our collective power. That requires, first, understanding the strengths (and blind spots) of each generation and, then, recognizing that every woman for herself is a losing strategy. Women have a long way to go. We'll get there faster if we go together!

Anne Doyle is a global speaker, author, journalist, business executive, former elected official, and podcast host who has been on the front lines of women’s progress for nearly five decades. Anne is the author of POWERING UP! How America’s Women Achievers Become Leaders and the host of two podcasts: POWERING UP! and the GAME CHANGERS podcast of the International Women's Forum.

She began her career as a trailblazing TV news and sports broadcaster in the 1970’s and 1980’s and was inducted into the Michigan Journalism Hall of Fame for her national leadership role in opening sports locker rooms to women reporters.

Anne earned her business credentials as a Ford Motor Company communications and governmental affairs executive and was named one of the “100 Leading Women in the Auto Industry” by Automotive News. Following her early retirement from Ford, she ran for public office and served for four years on the Auburn Hills City Council.

Her work as a Global Speaker has taken her to six continents, including assignments for the U.S. State Department in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Trinidad & Tobago and Spain. She is the current president of the MI chapter of the International Women’s Forum, which will hold its Global Leadership Conference in Detroit in October 2020.

A graduate of the University of Michigan, she has studied at the University of Madrid and has completed graduate work at Northwestern, Harvard and Duke universities. She is the mother of a 27-year-old son and a life-long horsewoman and avid global traveler.
