Ashlee Sang is a content strategist and copywriter through her independent firm, Ashlee Sang Consulting LLC. She uses the power of words to help purpose-driven businesses share their message.
Ashlee graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a major in Anthropology and minors in French and Linguistics. Before doing communications and marketing consulting, she worked with a variety of nonprofit organizations, including a human rights education NGO in Senegal and a local branch of Habitat for Humanity. Through her messaging strategy work, Ashlee helps founders connect with their mission and values in order to grow their business and impact. Her portfolio ranges from small businesses and community organizations to ethical fashion, tech, government, and beyond.
Ashlee has been an AWC member since 2018. She was part of the Bloomington-Normal Chapter's Membership Committee before joining her local Board as the 2019 Scholarship Chair and the 2020 Fall Workshop Chair. She’s also volunteered with many local nonprofits, including YWCA of McLean County, Illinois Prairie Community Foundation, and Relay for Life of McLean County.
She lives with her husband in Bloomington, Illinois and travels as often as possible. When she’s not busy working, Ashlee can be found planning her next “exotic” vacation, binge watching anything funny, eating baked goods, and counteracting said desserts with yoga, walks in the sunshine, and volleyball. She’s passionate about small, personal changes anyone can make to improve the environment and other people’s lives.
