Denise Upah Mills launched Six Degrees Solutions LLC in 1998 to combine the “best of the best” networking ideas for a more purposeful approach to networking. Her 26 years of business ownership spans a variety of industries.

Mills’ latest business venture, Pacific Accord Inc., Overland Park, KS., focuses on organizational development and helps people recognize how their habits, attitudes, beliefs and expectations affect their performance, and ultimately influence the corporate culture.

 

Mills facilitates programs on networking strategies, business development and sales, entrepreneurship, motivating yourself and others, setting and achieving bold goals, realizing your full potential, and expanding your comfort zone.

 

She manages several customized networking groups across the country. Her newest concept, $50G Mastermind Groups, assist people in developing a strategic networking plan focused on increasing their net income by $50,000.

 

Mills also works closely with outplacement companies and developed an entrepreneurial program to help aspiring entrepreneurs determine the feasibility of their business idea. Mills facilitates the Kauffman Foundation FastTrac program, and in the past five years, has coached more than 800 new business owners.

 

Mills co-hosts “Woman to Woman,” a weekly radio talk show on KKFI-AM, and is featured in a book, A Passion of Her Own.

 

In 2003, she was honored as one of the top “25 Under 25” businesses by the Kansas City Small Business Monthly. In 2002, she was recognized as one of the 25 “Women Who Mean Business” by the Kansas City Business Journal.

 

In January 2006, Mills was honored to represent Kansas City in Washington, D.C., by personally accepting a national award received by the Johnson County Library from First Lady Laura Bush.
