AWC TechTrekking Seminar - April 16, 2010 - Kansas City, MO

If you feel the digital world is whizzing by while you are still trying to figure out the difference between a Mac and a PC, then AWC TechTrekking is for you!

AWC's newest program, TechTrekking, is a full-day seminar designed to provide AWC members with up-to-date knowledge from the digital world.  During 2010, AWC will host this one day seminar in various cities to provide AWC members from surrounding areas the opportunity to attend.

Through this AWC TechTrekking seminar, learn ways to unlock the mysteries of:
  • Web Design – Basic beginner class when you just need to understand how it's done.  Great overview to reduce anxiety about the overall concept of constantly evolving Web development.
  • Web Standards – Helps you sort through the issues of making sure Web content looks the same whether users are on their Mac, PC, or mobile phone.
  • Content Management Systems – In this overview, with a focus on Joomla, you will learn how to create a website that can be maintained by a non-technical user.  You will leave with information that can be directly applied in your workplace.
  • Podcasting and Blogging – Finally!  You will experience an actual demonstration of how a podcast and a blog are made.
  • Video Production – Learn ways to approach creating an effective video project, what to use to make a memorable video production, ways to gather interesting elements and, ultimately, how to deliver that content.
  • Enhancing Images – Photoshop basics:  specific techniques you can use immediately to make your images pop for use online or in print.
